Zema stood far from the water, on the last step of a walkway before she would be forced to feel the hot sand between her toes. She looked quite out of place today, wearing the appropriate sandals on her feet and pants that went to just above her ankles. However she was also wearing a plum colored sweatshirt that was obviously one or two sizes bigger than her frame. She would not be swimming today, and from someone elses view would probably overheat. But Zema felt fine. A wide grin was on her face as she scanned the beach. Everything was tinted in yellow because of her strange googles. She soon frowned in jealousy seeing the other women in their batheing suits and perfect bodies. She cursed under her breathe and stepped off the step walking around curiously. o:

M walked the beach along the shore wearing out of place more so then zema wearing overalls that were over sized only one strap on his shoulder. He didn't wear any shoes but left it in a locker a bit farther down. He saw zema with her google and bypassed all the other women whom in returned pouted since he was so strange but polite at times. He walked up to zema cautiously. "I like your googles." he said with a smile.

Zema, who had not been paying attention at all, frooze at the sound of M's voice. She turned on her heel and looked up at him, for he was taller than herself. She blushed slightly, but that could not be seen under her goggles. How could she be caught off guard to let someone so close? She pushed her goggles up onto her forehead. "Really? Thanks. I like your overalls." She wrinkled her nose in a smile. If she knew anything about first impressions- it was to be approachable and not scare strangers away.

M smiled at her broadly. "Thank you. As you can imagine I don't get that to often." he replied. "Oh I'm sorry how rude of me I'm maikeru." he said extending out his hand to shake hers.

Zema looked at his hand awkwardly for about two seconds then eagerly shook it. She was a bit confused how he gave away his name so easily in a time like this. She stopped and looked back up at him with another smile. "Nice to meet you Maikeru. My name is Zema. And I dont see why not. Overalls are totally in these days." She laughed.

"So are googles." he replied laughing with her and tapping her googles lightly. "So what are you doing in japan?" he asked curiously.

She tilted her head slightly. "I live here?" She began, her voice drifting after each word. She looked off to continue talking. "Ah, well I have a good job and stuff so.." Then looked back at him raising an eyebrow. "And you?"

"Me?" he asked suprised that anyone at all was interested in what he did or where he was from. "I moved here from the states for school. I have a major in most science fields but I work as a mechanic and sometimes a research and developer at the university. I like dissecting things at times and creating new things." he said this politely as possible so he wouldn't sound conceited or stuck up.

Zema nearly jumped at what he said. "I love dissecting things!" She said proudly. Not at all did she see him as conceited, but more like admired him. Because of certain events in her past she was unable to finish school. "You must be really smart. I ..." She paused scratching the back of her neck. "I work at a pet shop and stuff." Zema was a bit embarrassed how her profession matched up to his.

"Do you have any snakes?" he asked nicely. "Right now we are doing research at university at the university, you stop on in because we're always looking for more help. The pay is awesome and the school pays for everything." he told her eagerly hoping to finally have someone to discuss things with. "You want to come down some time. I would go to your pet shop but I can't go near cats. I'm allergic." he said a bit ashamed of himself.

"Cats are annoying." Zema said bluntly. She looked at him and was again excited. "Yes! Of course we have snakes! I love reptiles..." More and more she began to approve of this man. No reason to be rash. "I would come down, if I knew where it was." She laughed nervously puffing out her cheeks in a pout. "Because I don't go to school, any place of education comes up blank for me..."

"Well the university could use a full time research and developer there and like I said they would pay for your education, boarding and everything else. I'm not there all the time because I like being a mechanic, guess that makes me a grease monkey. Hope you like monkeys." he said praying that she did since cats were a strong dislike to him also.

"I can show you where the place is if you want." he said making the offer reasonably. "I mean you seem to be busy here looking at these horrible looking young women." he said. "why do you like at them. Your not self conscious are?" he asked with genuine interest.

Zema oddly blushed as if bothered by this. His words had actually hit her from her strong walls? "NO! I could look like them if I really wanted to." Which was true. In a childish way she put her goggles back over her eyes- but this time they were not able to hide her red cheeks. "Maybe another day." She muttered, finally answering his offer about showing her the place. Today she would be that the beach! No matter what. "Monkeys are fine. But they throw their own crap." She glanced back up at him.
"Do you throw your crap?" She raised an eyebrow.

"No I don't. But I like banana's because they're a great source or potassium from what I hear." he replied with a smile chuckling at her. "I didn't mean to strik a nerve. These girls are hideous anyway but you, your quiet beautiful in your own way." he said again tapping on her googles.

Flattered she smiled. "Be careful these goggles are expensive." She said, happy that he called her beautiful- in her own way. "These girls don't affect me- I like to eat." She slid her hands into the sweatshirts pockets. "So, your not really dressed for the beach... Why'd you come?"
