Rhythm walked into the cafe and sat down, her bag fell to the floor and alsorts fell out. Soon she was trying to pack everything back into her bag, laughing when she realised just how much junk was in there. She held up a screwdriver. Why on earth do I have this?

Lake walked into the same cafe. When she walked over to the counter, she tripped over Rythm's foot.

Rhythm looked up. "Oh, I'm sorry... My things kind of fell out of my bag. My foot was in the way. Are you okay?"

Lake smiled. "Don't worry. It's alright. My name is Lake, and yours?"

"I'm Rhythm. I'm pleased to meet you." She bowed her head in awknowledgement, looking rather odd because she was still sat down.

"Mind if I sat down with you?" she said

"Not at all," Rhythm said. "Please, take a seat."

She sat down, letting her large bag on the seat. "Ah.. too much stress.."

"Stress?" Rhythm asked. She knew the pains of that all too well...

"Yeah. My job." she said

"What do you do?"
Rhythm, as a detective, had times of work when she was rushed off her feet, and other times when she hadn't a clue what to do with herself. She preferred being rushed, because it gave her less chance to remember things.

"Something that is not good..." she said. "Being a demon that is. Sorry if I scare you."

"It doesn't scare me," Rhythm said. "I wouldn't say demon is even the right word any more. People use that word to mean bad things. But in that case, humans are the true demons."

She shook her head. "I'm a real demon. I'm not human."

"I guessed. I don't get along with humans too well. But I have no worries talking to a demon. I'm strange like that."
