Death is just the next step. Rhythm almost laughed aloud. What's the use of a next step? People should die at their rightful time. I know I'll die young, someday, someone has to kill me. Plenty of people want me out of the way. Someday one of them is going to find me. Everything is only for now, even life. That's why I have to work while I can, and work hard, before I find there's no time left. Live every day like it's your last, because you never know, it might be.

Looking down on his new friend rhythm he sat high in a tree playing his guitar, the strings mellow mood struck waves of insturmental inspiration into the graveyard as lifeless as it was, his favorite song was moonlight sanada that humbled his heart. Still he couldn't up but close his eyes and play his tune solemn lids half open mind fully aware of the notes. "So how are you mind friend?" he asked looking down at rhythm consciously.

"I'm a bit down I'm afraid." Rhythm said. She was sure that she had been going to say something else, but just then the feeling that gave her her name washed over her. She found herself listening to the beautiful music, almost drifting away, as she always did.

"Of death?" he asked finding it ironic for her to be in a graveyard and for her to used the term afraid freely. He stopped playing the music but kept his half awake daze. "Have any request?" he told her resting the violin on his shoulder.

"Never. I would never be afraid of something so peaceful. And plus, dead people give me a lot less trouble." Rhythm said. She looked up at him. "No, no requests. My only request is that you carry on playing. It's beautiful."

Continuing his play m looked down at the site of rhythm so instead of continuing his original peace he played another song called no one's going to harm you from the broadway play and movie sweeney todd the demon barber of fleet street. "So tell me why your so distraught. There has to be something on your mind." he told her closing his eyes as he played. Her compliment did not go unnoticed rather he felt to address it was to give into over confidence.

"I think it might be just life getting on top of me again. It does that sometimes." Rhtyhm spoke softly, not because of the strange feeling that usually made people quiet in graveyards, but because she didn't want to disrupt the peaceful feeling of music. "I watch so many things and people come and go, sometimes it's hard to keep on top of things."

Finishing up the work he was performing mouse put up the violin in it's case and held it. "Then you should take a break and do something unexpected, out of the ordinary, that's not in your character." he said with a smile. "Have you tried going to a carnival or maybe your life is to exciting and you should do something calmiing like golf." the suggestions m put out for her was merely to let her know she had to enjoy life and should could enjoying it to much or to little.

"yeah. Maybe I should. I haven't really got a life to speak of. I don't get out much. Unfortunately." Rhythm tilted her head to one side, thinking.

"Think think think." mouse said in a very childish voice. He watched the hiliarious site of her thinking about fun. He was afraid to laugh and fall out of the tree or insult her. After all he wasnt' to familiar with her sense of humor and hoped it was expanding.

"Child." She laughed slightly and threw something soft doggedly in his general direction. She didn't look to see if it missed or not: she was okay at sports but when she was thinking like now her hand eye coordination reduced considerably.

The object she threw fell short by only a couple of inches and immediately he dropped from the tree. Slowly he walked towards rhythm watching her put her mind to work."You know my parents once told me that if you don't think enough all your potential wastes away. As long as you do something time isn't wasted. They were pretty smart until they had me." he said flicking rhythm's forehead. "So have you thouhgt of anything to do?" his eyebrow raised.

"Not at the minute, I must say. I don't know my way around or even what activities are open to someone like me." Rhythm said. She watched his eyes all the time, but kept any observations to herself, not wanting to intrude.

"You know studying people can get you into trouble." he told her sitting wrecked tombstone. "Well what haven't you tried yet?" he asked curiously.

"I've been in a lot of trouble before now. I think I'll live," she said, considering. "I don't know... Let me think"
