In the darkness of night izrael emerged and walked through the revolving doors with ease and calmness. He walked up to the clerk and laid out cash automatically with care but not pride, the attendant of the motel seemed to look him over just to make sure he wouldn't cause trouble, maybe it was the look in izrael's eyes because the man offered the best room availiable. Walking toward the elevator izrael took care to bask in the music and enjoy the time he had for reflection. As he hit the 10th floor izrael exited the elevator calmed and collectively. Standing outside of his temporary home for the night he felt a sense of loneliness wash over him and then he shook the feeling and continued. The first thing upon arriving in the room was to check the balcony which he did so carefully leaving the sliding door open to keep the sounds of the city close. From there he sat on the couch and waited in the dark to have some chance for inspiration to strike. Until it did he just surveyed his surroundings took in a deep breath, removed his bag from his shoulder, along the with a silver brief case that he bought prior that day. It was nice for awhile to think he had home even if it wasn't true.

Z was walking along the alleyway's between a hotel and an abandoned warehouse.Fluttering of bat wings echoed above her and Z looked up her green eyes studied her surroundings. In seconds Z had jumped upwards onto one balcony to another quickly, her eyes changing color. landing like a cat on one of the balconies Z's blood red eyes flashed briefly inside the room, glimpsing a figure but no more before she had jumped backwards into the air and onto the opposite wall, her left hand and her feet gripping the plain brick a dead bat in her right hand.

As soon as the flash of red came through izrael's room he was on his feet and gun in hand. A police issued baretta he glocked back and now ready as it clicked hitting the head of the gun. He was smarter then most because he didn't allow fear to overshadow him and then be caught off guard. The bags he had he quietly laid on the couch so the figure would mistake it for the figure she had seen that really had been him. Waiting along the side of the open balcony door he didn't stir but waited patiently and slowed his heart beat.

Z's eyes were closed as she bit into the bat, enjoying every bite of it. Looking back towards the room that she had seen a bit of, she wondered who the figure was, but it wasn't important. What WAS important was that she was hanging from a brick wall, eating a bat, and the only balcony that was the easiest to reach was the one with the figure inside and she wasn't so sure anymore. Z licked her finger of the blood that was on it and released herself from the wall pushing her legs against the brick to hoot herself over to the balcony landing lightly on the thin railing standing straight her hands in her pockets. Z's red eyes didn't look into the room, she knew they would switch to a better night-vision and she'd see who that figure had been.

Instead of standing where it was obvious that the figure would catch him ready and already on guard he casually crouched and lowered his body. He allowed himself to breathe slowly. The landing he heard was light and petite so he figured that it might be a women but didn't want to speculate at this point. The muzzle of his gun stayed close enough to him he felt sure of his actions but far enough away he could pull back if he needed to. Whoever this was they were obviously skilled in silence.

Z put her hands into her pockets and tilting back her head she looked up at the sliver of moon that was there. She crossed her fingers that the person in the room had left, either that was it or this person was REALLY good at staying hidden. Z walked on the railing bar to the edge and gazed down letting out a small quiet sigh. It was easier getting up here...that bat was NOT worth it. She muttered under her breath sitting down and preparing to jump down a good 40 ft or more to the ground below.

Hearing the voice was all that izrael needed to make his move and make up his mind without hesistation. Before Z could jump down to the pavement below and get away izrael already had the gun muzzle pressed to her head. The bat's left over spare parts had seemed to be smeared against the wall but to him that was natural just nature. "Turn around slowly please?" he asked and didn't demand so at least he had no intetion of being unreasonable.

Z didn't cringe. Her head turned slowly around her blood colored eyes fixing on him mommentarily before she lifted her shoulders and shrugged.Sorry? That sounds reasonable but I'm a very UN-reasonable person.Z looked back down at the ground wistfully and vanished appearing behind the man leaning against the doorway. What did I do? If it's about me killing those 3 people yesterday, then I admit I DID do it but I was hungry! Z said honestly her red eyes brightening slightly.

Before her words could be finished from her first sentence he stood in front of her though it took him awhile to recooperate from the effort that he exerted from the speed. The nose of the gun still was pointed at her head, the only thing that had changed was the way she faced him, if she was suprised a human moved this fast he would say that was accomplishment. Her eyes were both beautiful and cold, calculating shades of red. Not one to keep his comments to himself he told her so. "You have beautiful eyes but there too logical even for an unreasoning person as yourself." the murder comments didn't seem to reach izrael's ears.

Z looked at him coldly. I'm not a person. I'm a Demon, D-E-M-O-N. Got it? she spelled it out slowly her arms crossed in front of her chest. He was pretty fast, then again a lot of humans were these days, thinking made her let loose a sigh. And what did I do? i can't believe I'm saying this but you don't point guns at innocent demons, that plan backfires....a lot.

"Correction your not a human being but you are person because you are being. Just not human which I figured but wouldn't guess with all the weird things that occur in japan." he told her with logic of his own which he made sure was never flawed but respectful without arrogance. "Your not innocent technically either because you just admitted you killed 3 people because you were hungry. Try to find holes in my logic." he dared her because he knew she must be smart enough to survive this long in japan.

Putting down the gun's muzzle from in front z he seemed to want a closer look at her. Most human beings were afraid of what they didn't know or rather what they didn't understand but izrael was fascinated. "I hope those three people were bad because if they weren't you didn't survive you merely commited a guilty crime." the statement was true enough. "And if you weren't alive then you be cold. He put his hands to her face gently and backed off. "Your skin is way to warm for that." he explained to her. "Come on in I will cook a real meal." he said heading inside to the motel room.

Z grinned at this. In my terms they were pretty bad.Besides if I had to go around following human terms of bad, then I'd be starved, also I'd go crazy from the hunger. She pointed out following Izrael into the hotel room looking around absentmindly at the room's inside. What he said about her being warm not cold was true, but the fact was demons just weren't associated with the living, afterall most of the time she felt dead. A real meal? Sounds okay.

"If you went around following bad individuals you would be full and there wouldn't be a need for kira." he told her as he went through the kitchen cabinets finding pot, pans, cutting boards, a knife, and turning on the stove. Turning on the stove he heated the pots on the four parts of the stove. In the refrigerator he got out a bit of meat and sliced them into cubes throwing it into the left corner pot, the next then he did was a filll one of the pots with water and threw a bag of rice inside and placed that pot in the upper left corner. "By the way real meals are good even if they aren't raw like your preference." the idea of someone prefering raw meat to a good cooked meal made him feel a bit insulted at the thought that an individuals taste buds could lead them astray.
