"Of course, small spaces like in the front seat of a car make it harder to escape.." He replied, not cooling it at all. "For you, of course."

"Shut the fuck up. Why the hell are you so fucking confrontational? You know I'm not going to try and best you. I suggested a movie so you could have a break, for Chrissake. To be honest man, you look like you need it. You're cracking up, and we both know when that happens I'm going to have to pick up the pieces. So, why don't we do both of us a favor and just chill for a while."

"..." He stayed quiet, crossing his arms and looking away, keeping from really loosing it. "Yeah. Sure. Whatever."

If he did anything now, it would most likely bring attention to them, and the monkeys would most likely get involved. So he continued his attempts to 'cool it'.

Matt stayed silent too, before lighting another cigarette. "Mel... look man, I'm sorry, that was out of line. I just..."

Taking a drag, and keeping his eyes on the ground, he said "I'm worried, alright? I haven't seen you in weeks, and I can tell you're stressed as fuck. Maybe we should see a movie or something equally as stupid, if it'll get you to unwind a bit."

"Sure.. movie, why not?" He said, keeping his posture the same with a blank expression on his face.

Matt sighed and took another drag. Muttering something about fucking up, he put it out, and walked into the cinema, and got tickets.

Waiting for Mello, he just stood there.

He followed quietly, looking at almost everything in the room but Matt, obviously avoiding eye contact. Whether Matt thought Mello was trying to hide the fact that he might have been wrong or simply trying to control his anger was up to him.

Handing Mello a ticket, Matt sighed at his friend's melodrama. "C'mon."

Walking into the theatre, Matt sat down in a row near the back and prepared himself for 105 minutes of Mello pretending he didn't exist.

He sat next to Matt, looking up at the ceiling. He took a quick glance at Matt, then stared at the large screen, paying little attention.

Eyes reacting instantly to the presence of a screen, Matt pretty much tuned out the world around him.

His attention was suddenly drawn to the movie, and the five minutes he spent actually paying attention made him glare at the screen. Looking at Matt to see he was zoned out, he decided to get up quietly and leave, leaning on the outside wall of the theatre once he was out.

It took 15 minutes for Matt to notice his friend was gone, and another five to decide he cared enough to try and find out why the hell they'd just wasted $22.50.

Walking out, he glanced around for Mello.

He just continued leaning against a wall, staring at the ground with a blank face.

"Mello?"

Matt walked over. "Hey man, what's up?"

"The movie sucked, so I left.." He said quietly, keeping his eyes on the ground.
