Aveira smiled. "Your voice is beautiful." Her own voice was eerie, beautiful in a strange and terrible way. It was nice to hear pure beauty in a voice for once.

Taiku smiled sadly. "I can't use it for long unless it is for the chants, spells, blessings and curses. It's a trade-off for being able to control life and death." she sai.

Aveira nodded. "I'm sure you could get your voice back permanently. The price would be heavy, though." A=Her voice was full of understanding.

Taiku shook her head. "My voice is not going ot be there permanently. I can't trade off my powers. Besides, it would completly destroy he Levels' peace in time and death." she said.

Aveira tilted her head to the side. "Not if you could find a replacement first. I was a reaper once, but I got tired of the theatrics. I gave the job to a mage I met..."

"I'm afraid that only our kind can do this job. It has elements of a reaper, but has other responsibilities." she said sadly.

Aveira nodded. "Be careful of Dea. She's the new goddess around here. Megami probably wouldn't have cared, but I dunno about Dea. She doesn't know how things work yet..."

She tilted her head, seeming innocent, as if she didn't have a floating skull next to her. "Dea? Megami? I've never heard of them. I can only do so much, compared to Aino and Seishi." she said, referring to the other sacreds. Skull had made a point to scare off any wandering people while she and Aveira talked.
