Aveira shrugged. "Meh. Your notebook was in the way of my arrow." She smiled, but seemed preoccupied. "Maybe I'll see you later. Unfortunately, I have to leave soon before the other effects of my disorder strike me."

"It better be black, too..." Risus smiled and picked up his things. "I have a welcoming committee at my house, I'm sure. I'll catch you around."

Aveira spread her previously concealed black wings and took off. She was out of sight in less than ten seconds. She had stayed out too long talking to that boy. She would be more careful next time.
