At the top of the slid sat Rose a smoke held between her lips as she looked up at the night sky. The park seemed empty and the air was chilly. The memories of her old life ran thought her mind but she did her best to ignore them. Feelings would get her no where near her goals, if anything they would hold her back and that she would not allow. She took a drag from her smoke sighing at her thoughts unamused by her problems.

Maikeru reached the park also unaware that at the same moment rose was loitering about. He found a seat swing and sat comfortably in it with a lunch box that a child would carry. On the very front of it was a picture of the x-me and it was his favoritec olor blue. Using his feet back and forth he walked looking so fragile he could break in half just by site.

The creaking chains of the swing could scare just about anyone who was never on guard. In the solitude of the park maikeru looked at the stars taking out a thermast and drinking from it some warm lemon tea.

upon hearing the sounds Rose hid out of reflex when she glanced over to see only the man she had met in the hotel she rolled her eyes and sighed. Standing up she walked down the slid he may have been annoying and bother some but there was no need to hide.

Maikeru put the lid on the thermost he was using tightly making sure to take out a sandwhich that was neatly cut into two even triangles. He took a bite out of it and suprisingly fireworks started shooting off one after another in the darkness of night. Without so much as suprise on his face he looked at the colors in the sky and smelled the gun powder mingled with the air the scent strong. Suddenly he whistled in what seemed a sad song.

What seemed like a lullaby the sad tone complimented the sad site of maikeru on this swing. The way he ignored rose not even blinking or letting his eye twitch towards her was out of character. Rationality wasn't his strong suit and to many suprise he kept the act up.

Rose looked up at the sky seeing the fire works the explosions made a sick smile creep onto her lips. Her sadistic side was awake and all past memories didn't matter. She had the urge to kill and smell death, hear it takes its last breath, and watch pure fear on someones face. But who? she watched the fire show in devilish amusement.

Maikeru took his eyes away from the fireworks, he stopped whistling his sad lullaby and looked at others who poked there heads from there window. One by one they were shot from an unknown vicinity and assailant. Some fell out of there windows and a few fell stories to there deaths. When the fire works stopped so did the deaths as maikeru looked at the corpses that littered the street and some of the curtains that fluttered in the wind with blood stains clear. All he could say was "2.5 seconds. That's all the time that was needed." he put away his sandwhich and put it into his lunch box getting up from the swing set.

The fireworks started again and maikeru saw the street lamps light the parks path which he took in confidence. Some individuals saw had what happened and with the second set of fireworks they were disposed of.

Rose stood confused at to what had just happened. with the dead bodies everywhere she wondered who had killed them. Seeing only one person left stand he must have answers. She walked up behind him, "What just happened here?" She asked him catching up to his speed and walking beside him now.

"An experiment that went horribly wrong." he said looking at the corpuses he passed by. "Do you think kira kills this way?" maikeru asked wondering looking at rose with his dark eyes.

She looked around at the bodies, "No, theres no motive here, just pointless death. Amusing but pointless." She replied.

"Your wrong." he said with a quiet blunt honesty that could have been kept hidden away or come of disrespected but didn't happen that way. "There was a point." he told her this heading across the streets where police where arriving a opportunity to escape roses questiong that would yield results somehow.

Rose payed no mind to the police, "enlighten me, what was the point?"

"What makes a murderer do the things he or rather what she does? They can't do this, kira can't do this." maikeru pointed to the police officers gathering around corpuses. "No without planning, time, effort. They must have tested everything they do so they won't be caught. Death distracts from the goals that they're really after. This was just an experiment."

"One thing you forgot to factor in to your little equation is the pure adrenaline rush of taking someones life. The joy and satisfaction it brings, to have control." she said in a sadistic way. "Maybe this little experiment of yours was your way of satisfying your own blood lust. Feels good to be in control."

"No. You have me all wrong utterly and completely I didn't do this for of control of my life because I don't have any." he said this in fact. Taking his lunch box he cracked it open and took out an action figure heading into the apartment complex. "Now if there isn't anything further I owe someone what they asked for." he made his way up into the building and up the stairs.

"Sure thats why you did it." She said sarcastically as she fallowed him just for the hell of it. "Don't worry i wont tell any one about your dark side." She laughed.
