"I don't have to explain my actions. And nor do I have to explain to you why I was talking to that individual. Or any others that I may have contact with," Rhythm said. "I know many people that you would not expect me to know. And I have watchers everywhere."

"You decide to have tea and cookies with kira, the guy everyone is trying to catch and arrest and you don't have to explain yourself to me." he said neither flustered merely pondering. "Well sounds to me your in cohorts with the very killer you were trying to catch. Doesn't that sound like someone investigating the same thing should be informed about."

"I will help out when I want to. That is all. I may not believe in Kira's motives, but I have more pressing matters at hand. You would not believe the people that I am in 'cohorts' with, as you put it. I talk to many worse, and many better," Rhythm said. "Judge me how you wish, but I cannot be put in a box like the others of my kind of trade. I will do what I want, and speak with who I want, no matter the consequences."

"So death isn't a consequence?" he inquired to rhythm trying to appeal more to her logic he prayed overshadowed her notion of what just may be. "A trade isn't a trade unless something is fairly given in return for something that is taken." ((This sounds like shakespeare.))

(I know it does... Which is confusing since I've just been reading Othello) "Death is death. It can be a consequence, and I am led to believe that some of my actions have caused it. But tell me this: would you put the death of one before the death of many others? The very notion of it would seem unfair. I have enemies wherever I go due to my way of staying very much in the middle. I do not make enemies myself of anyone even if I know them to be in the wrong. Links with those you are against are not always a bad thing." She remained calm: she had had to explain this to many before.

((Othello is the only screen play that accurately describes racism and the biggotry of military might. The main reason it does that is because it's the only screen play that has an african american man as the main character. And suprisingly shakespeare didn't write it.)) "Would you have your own death cause a death of thousands." he retorted which made since. "And who said anything was fair? Life isn't fair because those who don't deserve what they have get it, life isn't fair when the guilty party is sentenced for doing a good thing. IF DEATH IS HERE HE KEEPS COMPANY WITH THIS MAN!" maikeru raised his voice to rhythm shaking the photo in his hands so she would understand his thoughts. "You claim links aren't bad but what happens when those chains or rotted? Would you rot with them?" he asked keeping his eyes steady.

(Othello as a play was written by Shakespeare, but the story was originally written by someone in Italy, as far as I know. From what I have heard, the play is based on the Italian story "Un Capitano Moro". And yes, i would have to say i agree with you in that it describes racism (something which i can hardly say I am fond of, as many encounters with those who are racist for whatever reason towards me or friends have left me with quite a bitter hatred to racists).) "My own death is unimportant. If many can live because I died, I am willing to die. If many are killed because of my death, an outcome which is highly unlikely, then I would be rather angry at myself. Hence the reason as to why I have many others of similiar skills to mine to watch my back, and if all else fails, to finish the work I do when I am gone." Rhythm replied. "Life is unfair. I have seen men and women killed for things that are no fault of theirs, I have seen guilty parties go scot free. I work because I enjoy the work, not because I think that my hand in things will do anything to help the quality of the world. Because that would show I was indeed delusional." She thought about his question. "I..." she said. "I have made links because I know that someday I they will fall. I have people that I grew up with to call on. They will know very well that I make these links to help me and others. But in turn, I have to bring myself to answer questions such as yours. No one can know truly what side I am on. I could be on yours, I could be on Kira's. But I'm hardly going to say that I'm on Kira's in front of you, now am I? So that is the reason you can't trust me. "If I were you, the best option is probably to wait and see. I know what side I am on, and what I am working towards, but one of the reasons many don't trust me is that they don't. I said when we first met, that I spent most time alone, and that I wasn't trusted. You can make your choice. I will carry on working, whatever your choice is. And if I think that it is something you need to know, you will also still get information from me."

((But the story was not written by shakespeare, and honestly I didn't thing the english has racism considering you all have intellectual beings and poignant talks as well as universities for the young, old and probably babies.)) "You didn't tell me you kept company with the man that kept company with death." he replied almost scolding her like an older brother would a sister or a collegaue guiding and unemployed intern.

"You have to ask. I'm not exactly free with information you know. You at least have to ask first," she said, watching him. (Yes, a long history, but one that isn't particularly good. If you look between the lines of the history we are taught, even, we were more the villians than the 'great' britain that is depicted.)
