Rei was sitting on top of the tallest ruin with her knees pulled up to her chin and her forehead resting on her legs. Loud, shaking sobs racked her slender body. In a desperate attempt to hide herself, she'd expanded her feathery white wings and wrapped them around her. She hurt so much inside. Aveira's torture had broken her easily and when she'd finally been reunited with M, he dismissed her as if she had no feelings. Never in her life had Rei felt so utterly alone.

M had driven a new hybrid that he'd bought, an utter plea to let others know he cared for parts of the earth, that meant despite the tougher times he faced it was time for a new era. Exiting out of the vehicle M put his hands in his pocket and looked up at the tall ruin and gazed at what he believed was rei. When he'd awaken at the apartment to find himself alone he'd looked upon the place to make sure it was as it seemed to be. From there he searched all of japan before coming to this place, a hollow sacred ground somehwere he didn't believe he was any longer worthy of. Seeing the wings cover averia they looked quiet comfortable like a pillow but he kept the site of her a memory he framed for his own. With a smile he yeled out. "Hey little one do you want to get something to eat?" M was interested in rei but felt that what was best for him was to carry things out slowly before really making any advances.

Rei jumped at the sound of M's voice. She struggled to hide the tears, wiping them away before he could see them. She never wanted to look weak in front of M again. Hoping she looked okay, Rei peeked at him over her wings and nodded. She hadn't eaten all day.

M waved for her to come over so they could be off to find rei some nourishment for that weary body of hers. "Do you know what you want to eat?" he asked curiously still keeping his smile steadfast. M wasn't insensitive he watched as her eyes were puffy and moist but tried to not bring the subject up.

Rei shook her head. "Nothing in particular. You pick." She let a small smile spread across her face.

"Well you have to come down here to let tell you." he replied looking around paranoid a bit. "Hurry before the food industry discoveries my decision."

Rei's smile grew and she gracefully leaped off the building, flipping once before landing lightly on her feet. She ran up to M and hugged him.

M's small figure made him easy to topple over occassionally which as soon as rei made contact he did just that. "Well this is one way to greet somebody." he said politely.

"Sorry," she told him and rolled off of him. "I didn't think I would knock you over. I'm littler than you."

"Well I'm only 102 pounds." he told her honestly remaing still on the floor to look at the night sky.

"Eighty-five," she told him. She hugged him again, carefully this time.

M was confused on how to deal with women still though at one point he thought that his decision was final but that wasn't the case. Looking down at her he wondered how to approach a young women. For a long time he though within his own consciousness and patted her head. That's how parents though acted towards children which she did look relatively younger then what she really was.

Rei giggled and hugged M harder. "I love you, M-sama," she said simply.

"But my last name isn't sama." he replied staing clearly what was the obvious and having trouble breathing due to rei's tight hug.
