A fox-like Tenshi was situated in the ruins, looking very bored. After tormenting her bunny-like clone, she had gotten bored and decided to venture out.

Having never been here, Kaito was sitting on a very tall and narrow rock. He had a calm look on his face as he was staring out to the sky as usual. The mutated human's greyish skin actually looked a little normal in the lighting, except for a small green tint to him. His eyes were neutral right now, and glowed a blue-grey. His bangs covered his face.

Kai sensed somebody and his feral blue eyes looked down. There was a person here, who had fox ears and a tail? Well, being able to see shinigamis Kaito wasn't as surprised as most people. The teenager thought a moment, then slid off the rock and landed behind it, scanning the area before crouching to spy on the stranger.

This clone, called Ferr, was a bit annoyed. Someone had clearly gotten the nerve to spy on her. Bad move. Didn't everyone know by now all the clones knew how to read minds? She stood up, and snapped a Coke there. She opened the can and drank a sip from it. She wouldn't start to smoke here. "You know, it's very rude to spy on people." she said. She didn't know his name yet, even though she had shinigami eyes.

Kaito looked to her not surprised at all. He only smirked back and said from his position.

''I'd like to call it fun or boredom....Rude just doesn't sound right.'' He spoke as he then walked out smirking. He recognized the shinigami eyes since he could see shinigamis and had developed a fair interest in the eyes.

''Nice eyes by the way. They're pretty familiar.'' He added. His name wasn't coming up. ^^

She sighed and ran her hand through her head before mumbling quietly to herself "Why do I never meet any ordinary people..?" before she took another sip from her coke. She was bit tired, and if this guy turned out to be a jerk, she'd kick him to Jupiter. "Call it whatever, it's still rude in my book." she said with a frown.

She noticed he looked at her eyes. She shrugged and smiled weakly. "Can't do anything about it. Merged clones don't really have much options for appearance. Specially the things that came with the original." she said, relying on a particularly large rock, munching on a chocolate bar. If only she wasn't her, but someone like Aino or maybe even Seishi, those two could defend themselves without a second thought. But what would they do, anyways, HERE, in the ruins? There would have to be some sort of miracle for them to appear back at the human world, though with Taiku, that could be possible, only that she always had Skull with her. And that was creepy, even to her.

''A clone hmm?'' Kaito said and tilted his head almost in a funny way. His eyes actually glowed an even brighter shade of blue at that. Usually that didn't happen unless he was excited or interested in something. Kai grinned. ''I've never met a clone before! Sounds cool! What is it like anyways?'' He had completely changed his attitude.

When he grinned it was almost as if a shark was grinning. His mouth was filled with sharp fangs. He was a human, but the reason he wasn't normal was because of chemicals/mutations and of course the ability to see shinigamis. He could tell Ferr was not in the mood for a total jerk, and that wasn't what he was anyways.

"It's not always that fun being a clone. You've got to deal with taking care of the original, doing your job and keep up with your life span." she said. Because they had shinigami eyes, but didn't own a death note, every single clone could see their own life span if necessary. It was very convenient yet depressing to know when you would die.

Ferr smiled. "I can read thoughts, you know." she said after she had heard what he said. He could see shinigamis,huh... it must be very interesting to be able to do that.

''You have to see your lifespan tick away slowly like some sort of clock?'' Kaito said, his eyes then turning a bit darker. He sighed, scratching the back of his head out of habit. ''Sorry....got overexcited.'' He apoligized, something that he didn't really do much.

He was caught off guard when she said about his thoughts. ''Hmph. Don't expect much from there. I talk what I think a lot. You'd probably find the same information every time.'' That was a lie, as he was starting to think about the death of his best friend. All Ferr would probably see would be a kid getting stabbed in the stomach by another kid and then seeing Kaito slash the name Masato into his palm. It was something Kaito actually thought of often...which was odd, since he never spoke about it. Kaito moved his arms and especially his right hand out of sight.

"Yep. It's not really fun to see when you die, either. It's very depressing at times." she said. It really depressed her to know that she'd die in about a week, tops. Then his eyes turned darker. She smiled when he apologized."Eyes changing color? Interesting! I suspect the original has it too, though it changes with her personality." she said.

Her eyes softened a fraction when she saw his thoughts, though she could tell he was lying."I know you're lying, but I won't pry. It's your choice when you'll trust me." she said. She knew how much you had to sacrifice to actually trust someone.

Kaito looked up and blinked. He looked confused at the eye statement and then remembered that.

''Well my time in the torture chamber kinda got me mixed up in chemicals. Now I've suddenly got personality-changed vision and bleh. I should have seen it coming since the place was built like a lab.'' He said, trying to make his mood better so his eyes wouldn't darken again, although his eyes were still dark. He couldn't change the eyes at will. ''My friend Masato died in front of me. I think a shinigami did it. I couldn't see any so I didn't know. Here is what you'd call a fragment of the past.''

He showed his right hand and pulled back the arm warmer that hid the palm of his hand. The name Masato was still cut in the palm. He covered back his palm, thinking he had told too much.

''So you know when you're gonna die. Man that must be tough. I hope you can stay alive. You know, turn the tables on death right? I did it once, you could too.'' He said, trying to give her some hope. And the fact he was also trying to get away from his past.

"As I said, don't show too much if you don't want to. I'm still practically a stranger to you." she said, holding her arms up in peace. Poor him, she thought. He must be tired after all that. How come we never saw him, anyways..? He must be new to this town. Yes, that must be it.

She looked at his palm. 'Masato' was clearly encrypted into it. "Masato?" she murmured under her breath. This must be pretty important to him, since she knew he had done that to himself. Why must so many people, other than Tenshi, suffer so much? It seems that their jobs as the keeper is failing. Both Aki and Tenshi are failing.

She shrugged. "That's not really my job. Want to turn the tables? Then go talk to Taiku, maybe even Seishi, if you can find her. All I know is my time is almost up." she said, not wanting to let her gueard down and let some hope in her heart. She would just be dissapointed again. She snapped her fingers and an hourglass appeared in front of her, it was black and it had black gothic letters that read 'Ferr'. The hourglass' sand was almost completely to one side.

Kaito sighed, staring at the hourglass quietly. He was more than a little depressed staring at it. His eyes went completely black and began glowing instead of blue a dark purple. That usually said he was sad.

Suddenly an idea caught him and his eyes flashed back to blue. He grinned.

''You know what? We should talk to them. There is no need for you to die. It'd be the worse thing if you died you know! We'll talk to them and I guarantee you'll live. I'm not losing anybody again....and even a stranger is worth protecting!'' He said, determination in his eyes and in his mind. Almost childlike behavior but he meant well. ''And I'll give you as much trust as I can if you want me to.''

She looked at his eyes. It seemed that he reallu could not control the colors, which went purple from the statement that she, well, stated. She was a bit confused, though. Why would he be sad for someone he just met? And one who called him a jerk and an invader of privacy, no less? She snapped back the hourglass to her MM.

She was startled a bit when he suddenly got an idea, though. She hadn't expected him to turn his mood 180 so quickly after he got upset.

She let a smile adron her face. "Good luck on trying to find them! Maybe I should stick around, you know, to make sure you don't do anything stupid.. I'd hate to think that your death would be in my hands." she said, though that last part had a hint of sadness in it.

''Well...Let's just say that whenever I do something stupid it usually helps in the end. I'm not letting you die. I'll find those two as soon as possible! And no matter what you call me I won't back down.'' He said smirking as if he'd heard her thoughts although he probably didn't. ''Maybe it's a good thing I spied on you. If I didn't I wouldn't have tried to save you like I am now.'' He grinned.

''So...where do you think they'd be anyways?'' he asked.

She laughed. He was way too energetic for her to comprehend. I guess some people still manage to maintain at least one part of their childish enthusiasm, she thought. It might be fun. "Okay, I won't call you a jerk anymore. Even though it is a bit impossible to save me, it's worth a try." she said, though she knew it was impossible. Life spans could only be shortened, not elongated.

"Well, it"s hard to say. They're usually wandering, maybe they're even with Double T." she said.
