"No, all I mean by fuse is a simple piece of metal. It will melt if something goes wrong, and then anything working the machine will stop. That is all." She was slightly amused at the machine more than anything. It was registering M's movements, and she was pretty sure that if it had been capable of independent thought, it would be rather confused.

"Well do you have anything we can experiment on?" he questioned remaining still and staring at the machine. "Are you watching me?" he asked as a serious question like the machine was actually alive. "Please answer my question mr.machine." he told it with a bit of earnest in his voice what mad the site comical was the way he labeled as a him.

"Plenty," she said, reaching in her ever bursting bag and bringing out all sorts of items, and also bringing out a few animals that had scurried in there for safety. "The animals would be safe, but I prefer not to use living things unless absolutely necessary." And then she threw her voice to the machine, making it seem as if the machine was talking. It was a trick she had learnt years ago. "Of course I'm watching you." It sounded like the machine was talking, but to Rhythm she felt she was getting rusty at those skills.

"Did you hear that!?" M asked looking at rhythm a bit paranoid. "I know you talked mister, tell me your secrets."

Rhythm laughed slightly. The machine stayed silent, and Rhythm was too amused by the idea that it had actually worked to try to throw her voice again. If she had, it would have sounded wrong.

M glared at it and started to circle around the table similar to what a shark did in water before it devoured it's prey effortlessly. He went all the way around crawling on his hands on knee before he slowly arose to come face to face with the machine. "Okay I didn't want to do this but you have left me no other choice." standing straight up he dug into his pocket.

Slowly he revealed to the machine a piece of candy still in it's wrapper and placed in front of it. "There that should be enough to make you talk." he said leaning into to press his face to the machine. "Now tell me the truth! You want the truth you can't handle the truth!" he said this irrationaly and could be considered more then slightly random at this point.

Rhythm laughed out loud before throwing her voice to the machine once more. "Oh, candy..." then she looked around the room for something interesting, her eyes latching on a coat that had been left. She threw her voice to that, making it say: "How come you always get the good things? I just get hung on this stupid peg all day." There she had to stop before she began laughing.

M jumped when the coat started talking and was now suspicious of the whole room expect for rhythm. He hid behind rhythm watching wide eyed looking at the coat and the machine. "Rhythm did you hear that?" he asked trying to make sure he wasn't going crazy.

"I heard it," Rhythm said. "You're not going mad. Because I know how it does it."

"Really?" he asked politely. "Tell me the secrets."

"I'll show you." She spoke again, throwing her voice. This time she made it obvious that she was moving her mouth, and therefore obvious it was her.

M pouted openly obviously upset that the technology hadn't talke to him.

"We can make it talk you know." she said. She watched the machine carefully, as if it suddenly would start talking. "I have enough components in my bag."

"No thank you. The magic of it's gone now." he said politely still pouting openly he looked devasted at the discovery.

"You know what is magic though?" she said. She wasn't saying it as if to a child, but more as if she herself thought it was magical. "Try moving your hand over the top of the machine."
