The sun was shining on a pleasant city day. People were doing whatever, mice were running into the alleyways, and almost nothing was going on. It was totally random as of this day nothing exciting was picking up anywhere. And that really bugged Squid, since he was looking for something to do. Of course like he'd say he was bored out loud. Never be bored was his lifestyle! And now here he was, staring at the clouds above, wondering if it'd rain later.

Kaito or should I say Squid was laying down on one of the only cleaner spots in the alley. He was wearing a black hoodie and very dirty jeans that were soaked from the last night rain. For once he wasn't wearing arm warmers, so the scar on his hand that read Masato was shown clearly in the sun, red dried blood and all. Kai's arms were also covered in the scars of cuts that his father had given him before he died in front of Squid. The arm warmers were stuffed in his pocket. Squid's bangs covered his glowing blue, feral eyes and never moved as he yawned, which showed his fang filled mouth. With his arms behind his head in the backroads of the alleyway, one would think of him as a strange street dweller. They were half right.

As Kai watched the clouds, he started to snarl, baring the fangs and his eyes having a speck of anber in them. He was just a little pestered from having nothing to do. Quickly the angry snarl turned back into a mutter and then into silence. Squid lazilly waited for something to happen, since right now there was absolutely nothing to do.....

Dragoon was walking down the alley when he tripped over Kai and hit his head off the ground. "Ow" He mumbled as he slowly stood up

Kai blinked, then sat up really quickly. There was a hint of annoyance on his expression. He sighed and put the hand that had Masato engraved in it to the back of his head almost lazilly.

''Well, now that my rest has been disturbed....Who the heck are you?'' He asked staring with glowing eyes at Dragoon.

"well if you must know i'm Dragoon, who are you?" He said casually as he stared at the ground

Raising an eyebrow Kai replied back with a casual tone, mocking that of Dragoon's.

''Most people call me Squid.'' Kaito said, smirking a little which showed one of his fangs clearly. He put down his arm and stood up.

"what kind of name is Squid?" Dragoon asked as he looked at Kai

''A nickname.'' Kaito muttered back. ''Had it ever since I was in a gang.''

"you were in a gang?" Dragoon asked as he began to gain some interest in the conversation

''Uh huh.'' Squid nodded. ''We were great. Most of us are dead now. I may as well be the last member alive. It earned me this.'' Kaito raised his hand to show the scar that said Masato in dry blood.

"what does that mean?" Dragoon asked curiously as he looked at the scar

''Masato was....'' Kai hesitated realizing he was telling this to somebody he hardly knew. He sighed a bit. ''Masato was my friend. My mentor. He died from a stab to the heart juring a fight with another gang.....He was the only person I trusted really.'' Kaito said, his eyes turning black.

"oh" Dragoon said as he thought 'did his eyes just change color?'

Kai was staring at his hand now, eyes still black. He shook his head and his eyes turned a glowing blue again.

''What about you?'' He asked, changing the subject as he took the arm warmers out of his pocket and put them on. As he put them on one would be also able to see the many scars on his arms.

"what about me?" Dragoon said as he stared at the ground

''Have you been in any gangs? Or what?'' Kai asked again.
