There and Back Again

A warmth afternoon struck Japan in the center of Tokyo today. The streets crowded and busy as ever. Cars going in and out with some ease and effort like a river stream filled with reflections of light. A few hours had past by easily. The sound of thunder roaring over the skies was hardly heard as an airplane swooped down onto it's route laid out upon it at the American Airlines center. The day seemed to go by fast. Yet it was still warm and sunny out. Tensenga stepped out of the center into the streets of Japan with an odd attire of black and white. He walked amongst the crowd sticking out like fork with his spiked down feathery black hair that covered half his face.

He held a small backpack with it's strap over his left shoulder. His right hand in his pocket deep within his black pants. Both his bluish eyes pierced the hearts of the young simple minded women of the streets and gave fear to those of the foolish. His expression meant one thing, loneliness.

Kana, in her female form, couldn't help but notice Tensenga. His looks may have attracted her, but it was his eyes that made her approach him. She smiled. "Konnichiwa," she said softly.

"Ohio..?", said Tensenga awkwardly as if disturbed from something when he wasn't. Yet he kept on walking past the strange girl who said good afternoon. Alll he replied was a hello. He looked arund the streets looking for a hotel to stay or maybe even a job so he may start working his way to get into gear with his journey. Sadly he had to beat one thing, age.

'Robot man...?', He stopped and turned around looking at her with the same expression but a hint of annoyance already. That was not really necessary. Tensenga sighed softly. "Why are you so worked up over nothing..?", he asked carelessly.

"Your eyes looked lost. I wondered what you were looking for." She tilted her head to the side, looking at him curiously.

"..Why does it matter to you?", he replies in a 'whatever' tone. Walking away again. Still searching for something he doesn't know what it is again. Then he stumbled a bit. Stopping while looking at the ground. A puddle. Small yet you can still see your reflection in it. Tensenga stared in it and looked back at the girl instantly. "Who are you?", a direct question was asked.

"Lovely...So..Kana Katana. Where is the nearest hotel?", he asked her, she would've known. If not he'd ask for the nearest newspaper stand. Honestly he was lost and just got out of the airlines.

"There's a really good one along this street. The red light district is about five blocks away. They have a lot of sleazy motels if you're tight on money. Um, there are some decent ones about three blocks that way." She pointed back over her shoulder.

"Red light district sounds fair.. May you lead me?, asked Tensenga as he looked at the direction. Sad part was that he was financially low.. Hopefully not low enough to get a cheap hotel in Japan. He also wondered if she was ever going to ask for his name, he never knew it so he'd just make one up quick.

Kana nodded. "Yeah, follow me. I've been there a lot. Most of my jobs come from there," she said in disgust.

She sounded as if she disliked it. Then again if it was a cheap hotel then the place itself must be a whole slumber of dirty jobs like cleaning the mess and keeping things at a certain level for communities. Tensenga followed nevertheless and kept his mouth shut. Kana was strange and lively to him. At the same time generous to take her own time to take him there. He'd repay her somehow in the near future.
"Arigato..", he said softly so only she could hear...

She grinned back at him. "I'm just sorry you want to stay in that dump. I'd offer to let you stay at my place, but I doubt my boyfriend would like me bringing a strange man home." She winced.

"I prefer the dump.. I'm used to it.", a quick response was given. Tensenga looked at the sky. The sun moved a bit lower than before. It must have took him longer than before to realize that he walked too long from the airport to the streets. Still he followed her. Most of his money spent in that stupid middle-class ticket caused this..
