A little girl sat in front of the temple of life, sobbing.

L who had just been in the temple came out and saw the girl, he squated down next to her "Hello... are you okay miss?" Cocking his head to the side.

The girl looked up at him with watery eyes. She showed him a small bundle wrapped in her arms. "Puppy got hu-hurt," she said. She was holding a small dog that was barely breathing.

L's lips pursed, he was afraid of dogs "Oh... um come with me ah theirs a vet round there... ill pay... dont worry...please just hold onto the dog..."

The little girl nodded, clutching the puppy against her tightly. "Th-thank you, m-mister," she said.

He tried to give the little girl a reassuring smile as they alked to the vet "Ah...whats his name?...what happened to him?"

"J-jiro. He-he got hit by a c-car." The girl looked at him pitiful eyes.

They got to the vets to find it was closed /that god megami...she said i could heal myself from minor wounds.... could i heal the dog?/ Turns to the girl and puts his hands on the dog, hesitant at first "He may just need a pair of warm hands..."

The dog twitched and then barked happily. It wiggled in the girl's hands and licked his face. The girl put him down and watched as he ran off. "I was right to choose you for that gift, L Lawliet," the girl said.

Looked at the girl "What?... how do you know my last name?...who are you?"

She just smiled. "I think you can figure it out, L Lawliet," she said.

"Ah... the goddess of life... or otherwise... Megami"

"I have been called that," she answered. "I am also the goddess of death, fire, water, and air. But now I am simply a little girl who needed help. And you helped me.
